About
Young Negrensé,born Christofer Lampson, is a 24-year-old Filipino singer, songwriter, and producer based in Duncan, BC. Raised as a classical guitarist, the young songster discovered beatmaking and songwriting in his late teens and began honing his craft on the popular program FL Studio. His music can be described as genre blending, incorporating elements of hip-hop, portentous R&B, as well as the undeniably catchy foundations of pop, which creates a sound that resonates with fans of multiple different genres.
Young Negrensé’s ability to write, perform, and produce his own material sets him apart in an oversaturated market. Whether it be the aggressive soundscapes of “First Blood”, sensual groove of “Día y Noche” or a voyage through the depths of despair with “Black Swan”, Young Negrensé’s tasteful melodies and intricate production take the listener on a journey of self discovery. His aesthetic has been described by Merlin Bronques of “LastNightsParty” as the little brother of Travis Scott and The Weeknd.
Young Negrensé along with local producer and friend Tristan Renaud, recently joined forces creating the biggest song to come out of their area, “Honeydew”. They are looking forward to releasing more music for the future and resonate with fans of all backgrounds.
